Acceptance of Terms of Use

Each time you use or cause access to this website (PigeonDB.com or any variation or subdomain of it), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use, as amended from time to time, with or without notice to you. If you are using a particular service on this website, or accessing through this website, you will be subject to any rules or guidelines to those services, and they will be aggregated by reference within these Terms of Use.

Privacy

Your use of this website is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, share, and retain information about you. By using this website you consent to the data practices described in that policy.

Our Service

This website and the services provided to you via this website are provided on an “AS IS” basis. You agree that AllBreed Solutions reserves the right to modify or discontinue this website or its services without notice and without any liability towards you.

Registration

In order to use this website, you may need to register for a user account. In this case, you agree to provide truthful information when requested. If your age is under 18, you have received expressed permission to register from a responsible guardian or parent aged 18 or over. You agree that you will not impersonate another person or entity on this website and further agree that doing so will be cause for immediate account cancellation, without notice or refund.

You agree to provide notification to us in case know or suspect that your password and/or account have been compromised. To mitigate this, you agree to responsibly and periodically change your account’s password.

Rules Of Conduct

You agree that all information or data of any kind, whether text, software, code, music, photographs, graphics, video, and other materials (“content”), made available publicly or privately, will be under the sole responsibility of the person providing the said content, or of the person whose user account is used. You agree that we cannot be held liable for any material that you upload, which you do not legally own, or which you do not have permission to use.

You agree not to upload any content that is profane, vulgar, or otherwise objectionable. You further agree that this website has the authority to terminate your account, without notice and without refund in the case that material you have uploaded has been deemed by us to fit this description.

You agree that any material you use in your account will be your responsibility, and yours alone.

You agree not to collect or harvest information of other users, through any means, from this website. Doing so will be cause for immediate account termination, without notice or refund.

You agree to conduct yourself in a responsible manner when using this website. You agree not to berate, slander, defame, abuse, harass, or stalk any other user of this website. Conducting yourself in such a manner will be cause for immediate account termination, without notice or refund.

User Content License

You retain ownership of any content you upload to PigeonDB.com, including pigeon records, photographs, pedigree documents, and related data (“User Content”). By uploading User Content, you grant AllBreed Solutions a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and transmit your User Content solely as necessary to operate, provide, and improve the website and its services. This license terminates when you delete the User Content or your account, except to the extent retention is required by law or by our ordinary backup processes.

Third Party Services

Goods and services of third parties may be advertised and/or made available on or through this web site. Representations made regarding these products and services will be governed by the policies and representations made by these third parties. We will not, in any manner, be held liable or responsible for any of your dealings or interaction with third parties.

Pedigree Scanner Feature

PigeonDB.com offers an AI-assisted pedigree scanning feature (“Pedigree Scanner”) that lets you upload a pedigree document (PDF or image) and have its contents automatically extracted into bird records you can review and import. By using Pedigree Scanner, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

Third-party processing. When you upload a pedigree document, the document is sent to Google’s Gemini Vision API for extraction. The text and image content of your upload, including any band numbers, names, dates, family information, and visible markings, are processed by Google. Google’s handling of this data is governed by their published terms; we do not control how Google retains or processes the content beyond the bounds of that agreement.

Extraction is not authoritative. Pedigree Scanner uses optical recognition and language modeling to interpret the document. The results may be incomplete or factually wrong, including but not limited to: misread band numbers, transposed digits, incorrect sex, wrong birth years, swapped sire/dam relationships, missed birds, hallucinated birds that are not actually on the document, and incorrect color or family descriptions. You agree to carefully review every extracted bird and every relationship before confirming the import. Once you confirm the import, the resulting records become part of your loft as if you had entered them by hand, and you are responsible for their accuracy.

Confidence scores are advisory only. Per-field confidence indicators are estimates produced by the AI; they are not a guarantee of correctness. A high confidence score does not mean a value is correct, and a low confidence score does not mean a value is wrong. Treat them as a hint about what to double-check, not as proof of accuracy.

Translation is best-effort. Non-English pedigrees may be machine-translated as part of the extraction. Translations are best-effort and may render names, places, or technical terms incorrectly. You should verify translated values against the original document.

File limits and quotas. Pedigree Scanner enforces a maximum file size and accepts only specific formats (currently PDF, JPEG, PNG, WebP, and HEIC; subject to change). Your account is also subject to a monthly scan quota that varies by plan tier and may be adjusted at our discretion. Failed scans (including those rejected by Google’s Gemini Vision API) do not count against your quota; successful scans do.

Document ownership and consent. By uploading a pedigree, you represent that you own the document or have permission from the owner to upload it. You are responsible for any copyright, privacy, or other claim arising from documents you upload. We may remove uploaded documents and the records derived from them if we receive a credible claim of unauthorized use.

Re-import idempotency. Re-uploading the same document will not create duplicate records when the file content is unchanged. Editing the document and re-uploading is treated as a new scan and may create new records.

No professional advice. Extracted lineage information is not a substitute for verified pedigree documentation from a recognized racing club or registry. Do not rely on Pedigree Scanner output for any official registration, sale, or competition entry where authenticated lineage is required.

Evolving feature. Pedigree Scanner is an evolving service. We may modify the underlying model, change confidence thresholds, restrict supported formats, or discontinue the feature at any time without notice and without liability to you.

Pedigree Scanner is provided “AS IS” under the same Disclaimer of Warranties as the rest of this website. Your use of Pedigree Scanner is at your own risk.

AI Chat Feature

PigeonDB.com offers an optional AI-assisted chat feature (“AI Chat”) that lets you ask natural-language questions about your loft data. By using AI Chat, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

Third-party processing. When you use AI Chat, the text of your prompts and the loft entities you reference (pigeons, races, pairs, seasons, teams) are sent to Google’s Gemini API for processing. Google’s handling of this data is governed by their published terms; we do not control how Google retains or processes the content beyond the bounds of that agreement.

Accuracy is not guaranteed. AI-generated responses may be incomplete, outdated, or factually wrong, including band numbers, dates, race results, lineage, and breeding information. You agree to verify any factual claim against your own records before acting on it. AI Chat is a convenience tool, not an authoritative source.

No professional advice. AI Chat is not a substitute for professional advice. In particular, you agree not to rely on AI Chat for veterinary, medical, pharmaceutical, legal, financial, or animal-welfare advice. For health, illness, or medication questions, consult a qualified veterinarian. For racing-rule questions, consult your racing club or the relevant governing body.

Prohibited uses. You agree not to use AI Chat to seek instructions for, or to facilitate: doping or performance-enhancement of birds, band forgery or pedigree falsification, race fraud or result manipulation, theft or trafficking of birds, or any form of animal cruelty. We may suspend or terminate your access to AI Chat (or your entire account) for violating these prohibitions.

Usage limits. AI Chat is subject to daily per-user limits set at our discretion. Limits may change without notice as we manage operating costs and service quality.

Conversation privacy. AI Chat conversations are not persisted on our servers — each conversation ends when you navigate away from the chat page or refresh. However, prompts you submit are processed by Google’s Gemini API as described above and may be retained according to Google’s policies.

Beta status. AI Chat is an evolving feature. We may modify, restrict, or discontinue it at any time without notice and without liability to you.

AI Chat is provided “AS IS” under the same Disclaimer of Warranties as the rest of this website. Your use of AI Chat is at your own risk.

Account Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at support@pigeondb.com or by using the account-deletion option in your account settings, where available. Upon termination, your User Content will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and our ordinary backup-retention timelines. Some content may persist in backups or anonymized aggregates for a limited period after termination as required by law or by our routine operational practices.

Disclaimer of Warranties

You understand and agree that your use of this website and any services or content provided is at your own risk. Services and content are provided to you “AS IS” and we disclaim all warranties of any kind, either implied or express, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We make no warranty, either implied or express, that any part of this service will be uninterrupted, error-free, virus-free, or timely. For many reasons along the path from our servers to you, the end user, problems may arise in delivery of content that are beyond our control. We will not be held liable for these issues, or any other in relation to the delivery of our content.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, AllBreed Solutions and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, contractors, partners, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, this website or its services — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

In no event shall the aggregate liability of AllBreed Solutions arising out of or relating to these Terms of Use or your use of this website exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred United States dollars (USD $100.00). This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory under which a claim is brought, whether in contract, tort, statute, or otherwise.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. To the extent any portion of the limitations in this section is held unenforceable, the remaining portions shall continue to apply.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AllBreed Solutions and our representatives, employees, subsidiaries, affiliates, related parties, officers, directors, advisors, agents, contractors, partners, and co-branders, from any claim or demand, including reasonable legal fees, that may be filed by any third party, arising out of your conduct or connection with this website or service, your content, your violation of these Terms of Use, or any other violation by you of the rights of another person or party.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. You agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms of Use or your use of this website shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Williamson County, Texas, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms of Use is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable for any reason, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remainder of these Terms of Use continues in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms of Use, together with our Privacy Policy and any other policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and AllBreed Solutions concerning your use of this website and supersede any prior agreements or understandings, whether written or oral, on the subject matter.
